Baby and Lamb from Fitz and Floyd nativity
The next day John saw Jesus
coming toward him and said,
"Look, the Lamb of God,
who takes away the sin of the world!"
John 1:29 NIV
coming toward him and said,

John 1:29 NIV
The tiny baby we see in the nativity scene was foreshadowed for centuries by a lamb. The lamb's life was to substitute for the sinner's life. The baby was born to Mary because He was to be the sacrifice for saving the whole world.
